Cute story

We went to get the smash cake pics - appointment was at 4:20pm. JT wouldn't nap this afternoon (common problem) and so on the way home he fell asleep in the car. He's in jeans and a heavy woolen sweater - nothing comfortable. BTW, he NEVER falls asleep and stays alseep when I take him out of the car. But today he did. Took him out of the car and put him in his crib. In addition to this uncomfortable outfit, he had no dinner other than the icing and cake (no nursing or solids since lunchtime). And he has blue icing ALL.OVER.HIM! In his hair, toes, belly button, you name it. We only used wipes and those were pretty much good for nothing so I told my H we'll just clean him up when we get home! And poor sticky stinky little guy is snoozing away for almost an hour now!

I have NO IDEA what this means for the night ahead! When will he wake? Will he want to eat? (I cooked for him just in case) Will he stick to the sheets cause of the icing? Do I wake him? (my mommy instincts tell me now)

Re: Cute story

  • If DD falls asleep any time after 6:00, she's always stayed down. I think one time, a long time ago she woke around midnight for a bottle but went right back down. She slept for 15 hours - it was glorious!

I say enjoy the quiet while it lasts. If he sleeps, great! If he doesn't, at least you're prepared!

Well, he fell asleep about 5:40pm...but what about the uncomfy outfit?? He's still sleeping and it's almost 7.
  • I hate when this happens. I always sit there and think, "should I wake her up!?"

More importantanly, do you have a cd with the pics? I wanna see!

  • By now you've probably made a decision: but my vote would be not to wake him.

You've slept in something uncomfortable 'cause you're just that tired, right? It's ok - he'll live.

I totally want to see those pics too. You must have really tired him out if he was so sound asleep after all that sugar!

  • lol sounds like he had a sugar crash!

DD had a very sleepy day yesterday and I was worried she'd be up all night but she wasn't...at this age...I really think it's best to just let them sleep.
