Sesame Place Vacation

I am pretty set on taking a family trip to Sesame Place in early June for my son's 2nd birthday. I would love any tips or advice you can give or thoughts on the place as a whole. I went as a child but that was a long time ago! Any places to find good deals? Hotels nearby that are affordable?

While we are at it I figured we would stop by the Crayola Factory so any thoughts on that would be great too. Thanks in advance!

Re: Sesame Place Vacation

  • Chris and I really want to take the boys there this summer too! We haven't been to Sesame Place since we were kids, but I remember absolutely loving it.

Chris has been to the Crayola factory recently with Landon, so you can ask her more about that. Its about 90 minutes north of Sesame Place, just so you know. :-)

  • Make a reservation to have breakfast/lunch with the characters.

I liked the rented strollers much better than my stroller - they are big and flat and hold all our crap and they're pretty much plastic so getting them wet didn't matter.

VIP parking is worth every penny.

I can't comment about hotels, etc. because I live somewhat local.

  • I took my daughter (1 1/2) this fall for the first time since I was a kid...I live local so it wasn't a big deal, but I would not go back again until she was atleast 3.  The main thing for smaller kids are the shows and you have to line up for them atleast 45 minutes in advance or you will not get in.  I found this to be very frustrating.  The parade was great, but other than that there were not many characters walking around and the park isn't all that big.  However, the water slides were not open which I know is a big attraction.  I would recommend parking at the mall and just taking the 5 minutes walk to save the money on parking.
