am i peeing myself?

i need your help ladies. my doctor isn't answering and i'm trying to decide if i need to just make the hour drive or sit and see what happens.

i got a shower and when i got out i sat down on the floor to dry my hair. well when i stood up, i "puddled" on the towel beneath my about the size of the palm of my hand. well - i thought ok, weird. i folded the towel over and curled my hair - when i stood up it happened again. same amount, about the size of the palm of my hand. it didn't smell like anything though? so i sat down and did my make up - this time with a white towel beneath me and sure enough, when i stood up i felt like i had to pee and another puddle same size came out. however, it was kind of yellow, like pee? but it doesn't smell like pee - but it doesn't smell sweet either. it's .. different. oh and to add, now i am constantly feeling the urge to pee since then. it's weird.

it's possible i peed myself i suppose, i just don't see how i have to pee that much within 20 minutes. and i went on the toilet and that much came out again twice within ten minutes.

what do you think? i'm so afraid i just peed myself .. but i've been crampy all morning in my back and menstrual area and that's worrying my head.

like i said, i called but the doctor didn't answer so i'm going to keep calling but i wanted your opinions.. Embarrassed

My water broke w/ DS....it sounds like you may have a leak....

If it keeps coming out and is a significant amount, it might be your water. That's sort of how it happened with me with Noah. I kept getting little "gushes" when I'd stand, sit, sneeze, cough, etc and I'd fill a pantyliner but kept thinking it wasn't my water. Turns out it was a leak.

See what they say when they call back. If it is your water, no extra things can really be done due to how far you are. Try to relax some.

FWIW, my contractions felt like period cramps which is why I didn't think anything of them. I dind't know I was contracting.

None of this is to worry or frighten you, just to let you know and that it will all be ok.

Go to the hospital or the OB's. Like PP said it sounds like it may actually be a leak. Don't wait for a call, go ahead and go in. Goodluck and update us!

Agreed! I didn't want you to worry by my post. The only reason I said to go was when this happened to me my dr. said there's always a slight chance of the umbilical cord slipping into the birth canal depending on how far your dialated so you need to be checked for dialation. He might want to do it in his office but he'll prob. send you to the hosp. for fetal monitoring. GL :-) You might be holding your LO soon. :-)

If you have a high break, it can come out like that and make you second guess yourself. If it doesn't smell like urine, I would go to the hospital. The worst they could do is tell you, "Looks like you peed yourself!" and they get that all of the time, no biggie. Better safe than sorry! Good luck, keep us posted! :-)

Go to the doctor before they close or go to the hospital. Sounds like it may have broke/leak. Mine only came out a little at first and didn't fully come out until I got to the hospital hours later. Good luck!!!

if you can't use your muscles to stop the flow most likely your water broke..... this is exactly how it happended with my son... and yes I googled and bumped to determine this before I called my doc and eventually went to L&D. Good luck

When in doubt, go to the hospital. You can always call directly to L&D or maternity at the hospital and talk to a nurse, too. It is still possible that the movements of being on the floor and getting up did push the baby or some organs right into your bladder and squeeze every last bit out, but why let yourself worry all night?
