What are your favorite apps?

Just got an ipad for Christmas and I love it, but not being technology-minded, I don't have the first clue what to do with it.  What are your favorite apps?  Not really into games- DH loves the bird thing, but I know there are other great things out there.  Thanks for sharing!

    You can buy books with the iBook app. There are also lots of free classics to read. If you have Netflix you can watch movies. You can listen to music with Pandora or iHeartRadio. You can also try out a bunch of free apps and see what you like. Enjoy!

    I of course use the facebook and youtube apps a lot. But I also have an app for my bank, amazon (I shop online on amazon a lot), Epicurious if you like to cook.

    I also use a Birthday app to track friends / family's birthdays
