When are you taking down your christmas crap.

Im starting to get sick of it and want to take everything down. That being said I feel like i will be sad once its all packed away again. Tomorrow is my birthday and my mom always made sure the tree was still up for my birthday growing up. Now a days (since she got a fake one) she will leave it up until freaking feb. lol

I cant deside! And also its a lot of work to pack it all up again lol.

When will you take it all down and put it all away? Or when did you?

We did ours on Monday. it's earlier than usual but DH is working all week and I didn't want to do it this weekend.

We did it on Monday. We got our tree a couple days after Thanksgiving so I was sick of it and wanted to de-clutter a bit.

Oh my gosh, not for awhile! My tree will prob come down mid-January and I leave all of the snowman/snowflake things up into the winter. I LOVE Christmas. Love it!

Most of it came down the day after Christmas. The rest the following day. I got tired of the all the clutter and DH was home to help.

I really want to take it down, but at the same time I don't know where I'm going to put the new toys, and H wants to leave it up until after New Years. So, I decided this week I'm going to organize DD's room, build shelves in her closet, etc. for the toys and next week I'll take the stuff down!

We do the same. I love having the Christmas decorations all throughout the house and the season feels short to me if I take it down any earlier.

DD#2's birthday is this Friday. She likes to keep it for her actual birthday so this coming weekend, we will take it down.

traditionally in both my family, and DH's, its a day after new years. Unfortunatly, I am due Jan 6th. I m kind of anxious to get the decor down now rather than later. DH doesnt see the urgency...

"If you have the baby before we get the decor down, I can do it when you come home from the hospital."

Ug... no. I am nesting NOW I want the decor gone NOW so its one less thing to deal with AFTER.

Probably next week some time. I love Christmas. We travel to see family so we were gone for 10 days. I want to enjoy my Christmas decor a little while longer.

I was planning on taking it down this weekend but my son has knocked the tree over a few times this week already so it may be coming down sooner than this weekend.

We usually don't take it down until after New Year's. DH has been off for a week and doesn't go back to work until Wed. 1/4, so I'm thinking we'll wait until that Monday or Tuesday to take everything down. I want to enjoy it for as long as possible before everything goes back to normal....but when we get back to normal on the 4th, I want it DONE. Does that make sense? Not in a rush to get to that point of taking down Christmas b/c it's depressing, but once we're at that point, I want it just to all be back to normal again
