Does your LO say things (or even used to) wrong, but you kind of don't want them to say it right it's so cute? Bennett's already moved past a few of them, but has some current funny ones. It's almost like they become less of a baby and more of a big kid when they figure it out. Makes me giggle so please share yours...
Bennett still says "f@ck" for truck. And he loves trucks so he'll scream it in excitement whenever he sees one, even out in public. If you correct him he'll say "t-t-fruck".
He also says several words with "ing" at the end (raining, drawing, going, driving") correctly but for some reason can't say "working". He says "work it"...and he says it like a diva. He walks around all day saying "light work it, song work it", etc, etc. He says it with such attitude it cracks me up every time. I know eventually he'll say it right so I'm just enjoying it for now.
Re: Kid word mispronunciations
Pretty much nothing is pronounced correctly yet in our house, but my favorites are "mup!" for pick me up, "babba!!" for I'd like to watch Yo Gabba Gabba...and "sheese" for cheese

Jack's moving past most of his mispronunciations but still calls sausage "saucer" and garbage "garber" and I don't EVER want him to stop - WAHHHHH!!!
When he was really little, dogs were "oo-oo's" and cats were "mow-mows" - my niece Lili was "ee-ee" ... and then one day - that was all over. He has very clear speech which is great, but most of the baby stuff is gone.

Love it! I would do the same.
Conor calls girls "grills." He also calls my dad "grump-aw" which I love. I hope he calls him grump-aw forever.
He also got a car that makes a swish noise but he says it's a swanky noise. "Mommy, my car makes a swanky noise!"
My girls call big jet from Little Einsteins "big sh!t". It's become our code word for pooping. DH and I tell each we are going to see the big jet. Lol
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

When Garrison was first talking I would always say "capisce" when I would explain something to her and she would respond with "papeesh, mommy". So friggin cute. Now she can say Capisce but sometimes I say "you're supposed to say papeesh" and she will.
Also, for some reason when she is looking for something/one (especially Ralph, our Elf) she says "Ralph Here are you?" instead of where.
I had a party with a bonfire years ago and my nephew was there... so we have a circle of drunk adults and my nephew running around picking up D&icks! We were all laughing our drunk butts off!
Lilah says forest head, instead of fore head, I encourage it.
These are all so great...keep sharing!
Bennett just said another one of my favorites I forgot about. He says "pooper" for "paper". And he loves to color, like any time we let him. So whether we're at home or out to eat and they have a coloring page he says "I got the pooper!".
Reed used to call Penny...Henny...and then one day he corrected himself.
Reed had to meet with a speech language pathologist who explained that sometimes they will stick to a mispronounciation out of habit. We just made sure to say the words correctly and model for him.
I think it's very normal but in Reed's case, we had to work with him on his speech so we were a little more vigilant in trying to make him say words properly.
I dread the day when Ethan stops saying Muskick song!
and also he says cockatiel for cocktail
Yup! Same here. This is one thing Stella can't say correctly. She loves when we drive by the big *** on the way home from school. She talks all about it and it's hilarious!
Yes, and DH gets so sad when he learns to say things correctly.
Basement = Bee-font
Get down = EEEE-down
Elephant = En-o-fint
These are all so cute (and funny)!
Brady calls his bathing suit a bathing soup
Nolan loves trains and bridges. And he likes to always talk about big big bridges. However he calls them big big b!tches. I take the train to work and he always tells people that Mommy is a big big b!tch. (Meaning I am on the big big brigde on my way to work).
I know there are many more, but I am drawing a blank right now.
Oh my, yes. So many. I will mourn the day that he can speak 100% articulately!
My current favorite is Frosty the Snowman, which comes out "Fwosty the Snowman" and he sings "Fumpity fump fump." instead of "Thumpity thump thump." Be still, my heart.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
Manna for banana
rice-anoseros for rhinoceros
raft for giraffe
and many many many more that I can think of at the moment...
I'm a born and bred New Yawker with the accent to prove it. Nicholas is born and being bred in the South. I can already hear the twang in his voice. For diaper he'll say "DIE-PA" with a twang. "I'm gonna get it"= "I'm gonna git it"
His speech teacher say we need to work on "f" words. Fun=Pun.
Oh and instead of saying "Help me" when he needs it, he'll say "Help you". Like if he can't get his sock he'll say "Mommy help you". I guess that comes from me saying "Do you want mommy to help you?"
DD does this babble noise for banana that I can't spell out because I don't know how. But it's SO cute.
And she says color like "holla". And she likes to color. A lot.
Grapes is beps. Too cute
Oooooh, I forgot this one! Jack says Mus-gick for music - I love it!!!

Yes - and it will make me super sad to hear them go too! One of my favorites is hip-pups for hiccups. Then there's Nammy for Grammy and in the past week or two I've noticed him saying it correctly. Last year it was Merry Kissmas, but this year he got it right which was kind of sad. His play part in the Christmas play was "Jesus said, I am the light of the wool (world)" which was SOOO cute! I love the innocent funnies too like Thomas the train's friend, Percy which is Pu**y.
Nolan does that one too, so funny!
cal says "mee-goos" for music. i love it, so!

One of my all-time favourites was an animal sound: he used to say "duck duck" instead of "quack quack."
We got him a double-decker bus for Christmas ? he says "double-bucker bus."
He loves the show "The Adventures of Chuck and Friends," which he still calls "Chuck on You" for some reason (maybe derived from the theme song?).
He does the "clock" one too, but we encourage him to say "tick-tock" instead.
ETA: He used to call me "munny" ("money"?). He started to pronounce it correctly right around Mother's Day this year. He never really called me "mama" ? when he said "mama" he was referring to his beloved stuffed monkey.
I love all these!
Maya has a bunch. She calls turkey 'cocky', cheese is 'ghee'. She calls her jacket 'gucko' and when she wants to nurse she says 'nah-nah'.
Recently, she just started calling Grammy (my mom) Bobke. (bob-key) and popcorn is 'pawko. Cat is kiki. There are others, but those are what i can think of right now
