How long did you use your DSNG?

Hi Ladies,

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Just curious how long you used your DSNG???  My boys are almost 4 mos (and about 13 lbs each) and it is getting really heavy to push and a PITA to steer, I can't imagine that I will be able to use that much longer but just curious what your experiences were.

Thanks!

  • We did not purchase the DSNG.  We purchased the BJCS.  They are 8 months are we still use it daily with the car seat attachments.
U/S#1 showed 2 heartbeats! U/S#2 showed Baby A's heartbeat was 157 and Baby B 's heartbeat was 183! U/S#4 showed Baby A is a Boy (heartbeat 161) and Baby B is a Girl (heartbeat 159)!! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

  • I maybe used my DSNG 5 times....my babies hated their carseats...so as soon as they had good head control we switched to our BJCM - probaby around your LOs age - maybe even a little younger.  The DSNG is one of those things I wish I would have waited until they got here to see if we would use - because we definitely did not get our money's worth out of it!

  • I got my BJCS around 4 months old and ditched the DSNG after that. It was a PITA to take them out of car seats and into the stroller but the BJCS drove so much better it was worth it.

  • I used the DSNG regularly until they were out of their infant seats, so around 6 or 7 months.

  • for stores etc I still use it even though it drives like a truck. when they're out of the infant seats I'll switch to the maclaren. We use the bob for walks etc now though.
  • We still use our DSNG and kids are almost 9 months old.

They still are in the Infant Car Seats and we love the DSNG stroller.  It is getting harder to steer, but for the convenience, we don't mind.  Its light weight and takes up minimal space in trunk and we love the ease of transferring kids from car to stroller.  I am going to cry when we move to convertible car seats and I have to take them in/out.

  • I LOVED my DSNG - my boys are tall though so we had to switch them out of their infant carseats at 7 months... I have a McClaren now in the car and honestly hate it in comparison (it is a great stroller and handles well, but the DSNG was just soooooooo much easier for me to get in and out of the car and get the boys in and out of).  I wish we could have used it longer ;o(

  • We used it until about 7 months when DS outgrew (height-wise) his infant carseat. Since then, we use our MacLaren Twin Triumph and BOB Duallie.
  • we used ours for about 4 months and then moved the kids to the bumbleride.  They preferred it (they could see out) and we preferred it bc it was so much easier to steer.

We ended up switching to convertible carseats shortly after too.  Those darn infant seats were too heavy to carry around and since we only did naps at home I was never worried about waking sleeping babies.

  • Two months, while we fihured out what we needed. Got the Chicco Cortina Together. It fits our infant seats and has toddler seat options also.

This. We used the DSNG until we went to our 9 month checkup and DS had outgrown the height limit of the car seat. Sure they were getting heavy, but it was so nice being able to put them to sleep in their car seats if we were out past bedtime somewhere.

  • Almost 9 months. It turns out DS had outgrown the infant car seat in height around 6 months, but I guess I was too sleep deprived to notice. I used to be able to run three or four errands with no hassle, but having to unload the BJCS and strap and unstrap them so many times is such a pain now. I do adore the better steering though!

  • Six months. But yeah, around 4m it started getting harder to push/steer with two chunky babies in it! We got the City Mini when they were 4m and used both for a while but ditched the DSNG right at 6m.
