Crib bedding??

I am on the hunt for our crib bedding. My husband wants to paint the room this weekend and I kind of would like to have the bedding picked out so that I know what color to pick. If he's in the mood to paint, I want to have it all ready for him when he gets home!! Where did everyone get their beddng from????

I'm not getting an actual bed set. I'm just using white sheets or patterned sheets and a white mesh bumper. But liked the color purple so we are doing one wall and accents purple.

Might also do some girly sheets but no dust ruffle. The heat vent in under the crib ( we have to deflect it out from under) so the ruffle would just block that.

We registered for ours at Babies R Us--Carter's Blue Elephant. It's Blue & Brown and we are picking out paint colors this weekend! I can't wait!! My husband, BIL and friend who is up from SC and also an electrician just put in heat and lights in the room (we live in a cape and the nursery is being built upstairs from scratch next to our master!!). Today and Tomorrow the dividing walls are being built, Friday will be trim and baseboard and Saturday we will paint!!! Woooo It is such a relief that things are FINALLY coming together!!

We're just using Carter's mix and match. It was much cheaper than the bedding set which half of we won't use! We're getting a few different crib sheets, brown bumper, and a bedskirt.

All white sheets and bedding - the smartest advice from a parent that I've gotten:

Layer at least 3 sets of sheets with a waterproof mattress protector between each fitted sheet. In the middle of the night if there's a blow out you can just rip off the dirty sheet and mattress protector and you don't have to put new ones on in the dark.

And we're going with Benjamin Moore's paint - it's a very, very light blue and the color name is "Innocence." We've got girly artwork and I'm currently on the hunt for a white bookcase that looks like a dollhouse.

This is the one I am using also. We are using the bumper when she is younger, then swapping to a breathable one and then none, per our Pediatrician's recommendation.

And of course having just visited the Skip Hop website, they now make bumper-free bedding sets. That's what I get for ordering it months ago!

Since you can't use the bumper or quilt, we are just doing a sheet and skirt that are colored/patterned. Way cheaper too.

We got our crib bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. We only ordered the fitted sheet, top sheet, and the comforter. No bumpers for us. The comforter will probably be used as decoration for the first few months.

I am not useing a beding set, instead we are buying white or patterned sheets from Amazon.com. I am sure I will be chaning the sheets a lot and I didn't want to worry about matching everything. We bought a blanket that we will put in when the baby is old enough.

I will be getting ours from an online vendor. We have a round crib like the one in the picture. It is a simple white bedding, but we will add color to it once it's received.

Our is from Land of Nod. I like that I could buy the pieces separate and wasn't stuck with parts I was not interested in (like a quilt)

Pottery barn. I'm just getting sheets though. I'm not buying a bumper or a matching quilt. I got the Hayley nursery sheets, Sweet Lambie sheets, and I picked 2 chamois sheets (pink and purple).

Dwell for Target Dot Fun in the primary colors! I love them, so soft and looks great with our crib. A friend of mine is still using these sheets with her 22 mo old daughter from when the daughter was a baby, she says they hold up really well.
