XP: If you already have a DS and are having a DD...

What are you registering for?  I have all of the big stuff (besides another crib and bedding), but what little things do you need?  Trying to get a registry going since family wants to throw a sprinkle for us.  Thanks :)

Re: XP: If you already have a DS and are having a DD...

  • We probably won't register, but I've either bought or plan on buying new furniture, bedding, clothes, bottle nipples, a ring sling (never had one, but wanted one), and a Brest Friend.

  • Binkies and sippy cups are the only things we will need to replace so far, well other than clothes obviously.  Maybe buy some stereotypically 'boy' toys.

  • We had a DS and just had our DD. We didn't do a registry (I insisted that I not have a second shower since I just had DS). Things I bought were: diapers, breastmilk storage bags, girly PNP sheet, another cover for my boppy, 2 more sets of pacifiers, girly clothes, a bumbo (we didn't have one with DS), a cute pink blanket, another changing pad (one in our room and one in DS's room - we didn't want to wake him for changings), and a bouncer (didn't have one with DS). I didn't really need anything else.

  • Not having a girl anytime soon, but if I were, we wouldn't need much.  We got a lot of gender neutral items with DS.  So it would probably only be bedding sets / nursery decor & clothes.

  • We are not registering.

We got everything unisex except clothes, so we've gotten a few outfits for baby girl as gifts.  I know my parents/IL's asked us what we needed for the baby because they intended to purchase gifts for her, so we asked for a crib, mattress, and monitor.

  • I had the reverse girl than boy but I feel like I can still reply! I needed new bottle nipples, pacis, another monitor, another sound machine, a baby book, more wash cloths, and a boy blanket. I also wanted a few boy bibs and a boy hooded towel. For big items, I bought a double stroller at a consignment sale for $20, loaned a bumbo from a friend, and wanted a RNP which weren't made yet with #1. I also bought another FP booster seat because I hate high chairs and my DD was still using the booster I had.

  • I am opposite of you, but all I need are clothes and diapers. We bought a toddler bed at a garage sale and will transition Hazel to that when we move baby out of our room.
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.
  • We're planning to replace nipples, binkies, sippys, onsies, socks and anything else that wore out.

We'll also get a new stroller to hold two.

As for boy vs girl stuff, other than clothes we won't get anything different.  Most of our baby stuff was gender neutral, so it will reuse fine.
