DS#2 is here!

Henry Benjamin was born Dec 24 at 3:33 am, 7lbs 1oz 20 3/4". After a long day of early labor he decided to make his appearance. My original due date was 1-2, my Dr moved it at 8 weeks to 12-29 so I really wasn't expecting a Christmas baby. I managed to labor at home most of the day, we made it into the hospital at about 11:30 pm. I was proud of myself for making it through a lot of painful contractions but ended up getting an epidural right before it was time to push. After 1 practice push they could see the head and rushed in for 2 more pushes, and he slid right out. Entirely different birth experience from my first. Much better! We had one L&D nurse the entire time, so that was really nice. There were no problems with the baby's heart rate dropping like it did during my first. Besides the long early labor (I had woken up with contractions at 6:30 am on Friday and had them all day long until he was born), this birth experience was everything I had hoped it could be.

Now I am dealing with sleepless nights, engorgement, and feeling sad realizing that my first baby isn't my "baby" anymore.
