Today I was in a parking garage's elevator. Right before the door closed, I saw a woman running to the elevator. I held the door for her.
She did not thank me. Looks at DD in her stroller and said, "She has a pretty mouth."
I said, "Thanks, she gets that from her dad."
She then grabs DD's sock covered foot and said, "Oh your feet are cold!"
Stops, then five seconds later, grabs her foot and said again, "Oh are your feet COLD!"
I just ignored her. I never know what to say to rude people like this.

See, the smartass in me wants to say I'd have said "well, her feet wouldn't be cold if we were already in the car instead of stuck here since we waited for you"
but I don't know if I would have. Depends on my mood.
I hate when people can't take the decency to say thanks for small, but meaningful gestures like that.
