So we put DD In her big girl bed almost 2wks ago. I had to gate her in her room bc she knows how to open the doors and does so very easily.  Well tonight, she figured out how to open up the gate! So even though she's had no nap (yet again) today she's still awake at 10pm because now we can't keep her in her room! Advice?  This child has been so out of whack with her sleep since Friday (from holiday stuff) that I was hoping she'd crash nice and early tonight to catch up...guess I was wrong!

    I guess we are lucky that Evan doesn't get out of his bed on his own. If he won't fall asleep, he will just cry or scream bloody murder for us... but won't get out! Even when he wakes up in the morning he calls for me to come get him.

    I also bought one of the door handle things for the inside knob, but haven't had to use it. 

    And I hear you on the holidays messing up the sleep schedule. Evan has been soooo overtired, but won't nap. Plus he's been waking up before 7am (he normally sleeps till 9) My mom had him yesterday and she said he was cranky and rubbing his eyes all day, but wouldn't nap. He fell asleep in the car when DH picked him up at 7... and of course woke up when we got him out, then he wanted to play!

    Door knob baby proof.  Brianna can mastered the ones with the rubber buttons, but cannot open the ones with the holes on either side.  Just make sure it is on good, Brianna rips them off the handle somehow.

    We have the best baby gate.  There's no way a little one can get out.  And of course I can't remember the name of it.  I know we got it at Babies R Us. The way to get out is by pushing this lever over as you lift up the gate.  It's even hard for me to do it sometimes.
