I was supposed to have an ultrasound tomorrow before my MFM appointment, but I have been super anxious lately, and they were nice enough to let me have the ultrasound today. Babies both look good, still measuring just slightly ahead and almost exactly the same as one another. They still weren't sure on the gender but I really think 1 is a girl and 2 is a boy. We'll see! I will probably be having my A/S in two weeks, so hopefully they will cooperate then. I will be having a lot of ultrasounds because due to the partial loss I am at higher risk for cervical changes, but today my cervix was longer than 3 cm and closed, looking good. Baby 1 was curled into such a tight ball that they couldn't get a shot of the bladder, so I sincerely hope that it's there!!! I do think they saw it last time, so maybe it was just the position and maybe it was also empty. Anyway, here are pics of my twinkies (looking more like aliens!).
P.S. I'm not sure why they call them 1 and 2 instead of A and B. I kind of like the letters better!

Re: Ultrasound (pics inc.)
Yeah, I keep telling myself it is one of the perks of being at BWH MFM practice, one of the best in country (if not the world). I saw a midwife for my last pregnancy and planned to have another midwife-assisted, birth center delivery this time, so it has been hard for me to let go of all of that. Trying to look at the bright side with all the fun ultrasounds, although that also gets my worry gear in overdrive, thinking about how if you look hard enough for something to be wrong you can probably find something that's wrong. And a 3D ultrasound at this stage definitely makes them look like aliens, not cute cuddly babies, LOL!
That was me, too! I was so bummed when I couldn't deliver at the birth center this time. My two births couldn't possibly have been more different - from natural drug-free to c-section!! lol
I'm just north of Boston... my OBs were affiliated with MGH though. In the beginning I was tempted to switch to BWH, but in the end had no problems and had great care in Salem.

I know MGH is great, I have a friend whose husband is starting his fellowship there. My RE (fertility doc) is at the Brigham and so I had my first daughter there, but I went with the midwives at Cambridge Hospital for a more natural experience the second time around. The closest hospital to us now is actually Winchester since we just moved, but when this was discovered to be a high risk pregnancy I wanted to be at the Brigham.
