it could just be lightning crotch... if you think they're contractions start timing them. at this stage it would be doubtful that your doctor would want you to be seen until the pain is timable, 5 mins apart.

I don't know, but I've been getting them off and on for a couple of weeks. Last night, they were HORRIBLE and I couldn't talk or walk through them. However, for me, they are definitely not contractions - my belly doesn't get hard and they aren't timeable. I'm fairly certain that it's her head butting my cervix or something.
Yeah it actually makes me jump... Dh was rubbing my belly last night and it must have irritated Lo b/c I got a head butt to the cervix... it was awful.

I asked my doc about this at the last appointment.. I described it to her as someone trying to stab me right up the va jay jay! It definitely hurts.... she referred to it as Ice Pick Pain lol It's not a contraction but results from round ligament pain...
And although I know (according to my doc and pregnancy books) that you can't "feel" dilation... when I started getting these pains is also the week I found out I had started dilating... so not sure if there is a correlation there... but thought I'd share.

Ditto. I don't even think it's dilation since I've been having this on and off since about 32 or 33 weeks.
