Twins and Smiling

Ladies, my girls are 2 months and a few days.  One of my girls smiles a lot, the other one rarely does.....she REALLY makes you work for it.
Should I be worried that the one isn't hardly smiling at all?
Did y'alls babies all smile a lot at 2 months?

Re: Twins and Smiling

  • I actually wrote a post exactly like this a couple months ago and I will tell you just a couple weeks after that post, she started smiling all the time! At 2 months they were smiling but not consistently but now at 5 months we have two VERY happy and smiley girls!! It will happen with your other LO, don't worry! My more serious LO actually is the more smiley one these days! : )

  • It will happen. I remember at 9 weeks that they had just started smiling.  It's still early.

  • 2 months is when most babies just start smiling. And some babies just don't smile as much.

my little Gibby was soooo hard to get to smile. He still is - he won't do anything on command- he makes you work for it still -that's just his personality. He's more skeptical of people he meets, etc.

Grayson on the other hand smiles at everyone- flirts with every woman, etc.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • Give it some time.  My boys both started smilig around 7-8 weeks adjusted.  Just within the last 2-3 weeks they both have become very socialable with tons of smiling.  One of my boys started doing it earlier and I was concerned with the other one not making eye contact and smiling as much.  I think within a few days of me voicing my concerns, he started being a social butterfly and hasn't looked back!
  • Ditto Goldie.
And fwiw Will was my big smiler at that age; now Alex is our big smiler/charmer/flirt. (Will's our big laugher. :))

  • Mine are still like that. At times you work up a sweat trying to make H smile, while M smiles on command..
