I have felt great for the past several days, I'm not contracting, and I can feel the baby moving. And I had eaten lunch a couple of hours before it started. So I think there's a pretty good chance it's nothing to worry about. I have an OB appointment tomorrow morning. It's okay if I don't do anything about this unless it gets worse, right?
lol, I feel totally overreactive and paranoid for even questioning whether I should go in, but with the issues I had been having up until the last few days, I don't want to breeze over something that could indicate a problem. It does hurt down low, but it also hurts up high.
Re: My stomach hurts, and I can't tell if it's pg-related or gastro-intestinal
My personal stance on these types of things is to call my OB and just tell them how I feel and ask. No one on the bump can diagnose you for sure. My OB is great at answering questions and getting back with me or the nurses can answer me right away.
I would think it's ok if it's only discomfort because we get a lot of that pregnant. As long as it's not painful.
Yeah, that's what I would do, but I've done it enough times now to know that they are just going to tell me to drink water, lay on my left side, and go to triage if it gets worse.
I agree that if you are worried, call your OB.
If it makes you feel any better, I get cramps quite often, and haven't worried that anything is wrong. I just figured it is a part of being pregnant. I get them if I sit too long in my leg, or in my lower abdomen randomly.
What's it feel like? Last week I had bad gas and bloating but it felt different than it did pre pg. like it had no where to go so it was more painful. I ate some tums, Zantac and tons of water. It took over night before I felt better. If you aren't sure, then call but since you're going tomorrow, you could wait too.
I understand tho, I had issues over the weekend and felt better today but still called since they were open. They got me in and took my BP and it was good. Swollen feet, ankles, dizzy, BH. Fun Xmas eve and day! But I didn't feel like it warranted an after hours call.
It's crampy and kind of a sick stomach. I know I've felt this way when not pg, but the kicker is that sometimes it was period related and sometimes not, so I can't really tell what part of my anatomy is causing it.
Ugh. I don't know. I guess if I don't start feeling better in another hour or so, I'll go in. Or if it starts feeling worse before then. I did more than I probably should have over the weekend b/c I felt so normal.
I'm glad things looked good at the doctor today! I remember you posting about the issues over the weekend.
Thanks! She said, drink more water, lay off salt and I probably over did it. I think the over doing it really gets to me. Yesterday I stayed in bed all day and it was the first night in weeks that I didn't get any BH.
You know your body best and if you feel weird, call. Thats why I called even though I was feeling better with less swelling.
And this is exactly how I feel about calling my OB at this point.

Obviously you want to err on the side of caution, but the past two times my stomach has felt this way it turned out to be intestinal and cleared up within a day or overnight. It's so hard to tell, I know!!
