Hi Ladies!

What did you do for the initial testing? My Dh went for a SA and I went for all bloodwork... My Dr. says if the SA comes back normal we might start Clomid..

What did you ladies do initially for testing?

I had an ultrasound at my first RE appt. in addition to bloodwork for DH and I. We also scheduled a S/A for my H and a HSG for me.

You should have a HSG before starting Clomid (or Femara) to make sure your tubes are open, to check the shape of your uterus, etc. (Clomid will do you no good if you have blocked fallopian tubes).

Ditto this. My HSG + DH's SA is scheduled for Friday of this week. Gulp.

Mine included:

CD 3 b/w, 7DPO b/w, ultrasounds, additioanl b/w, HSG, and 2 SHGs. MH had a SA done and I ended up needing minor surgery based on the SHGs

DH had SA first and then I had bloodwork, followed by ultrasound followed by HSG, all is well with me.

We started with a SA with the OB. Abnormal results let to a MFI uro and subsequent SAs. No progress there led to me a RE who wanted to do a full work up on me. I did the vaginal ultrasound, tons of bloodwork inc CD3, and I have a HSG Thurs.

Thats it for now. We'll come up with a plan based on those results. I am almost certain the plan won't include Clomid, so I hope there's a reason for you taking it.

I'm in the MFI category too -- very similar to Maggie, but my fertility workup did not include an HSG because both REs I saw agreed it was unnecessary (bloodwork and vaginal ultrasound were fine).
