Haha.....listen to this story first! So, dh came home with the only deer he could find, right? It was from Target and $55, and pretty ugly. Didn't match the ones he has. I was just going with it since I knew we couldn't find one, ANYWHERE! After you guys left I checked KMart website and they had them for in store pick up (Victor). I order and get a confirmation email, called dh and asked him to go on his lunch. 3-4 hours later I get an email saying "oops we sold you this but don't really have it, sorry". I was pretty mad but had not returned the Target deer so it wasn't a total disaster. After dinner dh calls and says "I found one, I have it in the car"! He had told me he searched everywhere in Penfield with no luck, I was pretty confused.
He had mentioned the need for a deer and the reason why to an associate at work. He asked the guy if he had seen them anywhere. The guy was like "I have one in my garage still in the box, bought an extra last year on clearance."! The guy went on lunch and brought it to work for dh. Dh paid him what he paid......$1 (sticker was on it still)! So funny on how things work out!
So, dad and step mom unwrap it and have huge smiles. They got it right away! Everyone was super excited for us, but step mom had an idea I was. I hardly drink but I refused a sampler sized glass of beer last weekend. She had an idea then.
For my mom and grandma I had R wearing a "big brother in charge" tshirt. Neither got it and had to be strung along a bit to understand. My mom freaked out in her usual fashion and screamed and cried. She then waited until later in the night......and posted it on FB!!!!!!! I could have killed her. I specifically told her not to, and she did (on her wall). I found it 12 min after she did it and sent her a pretty firm text demanding it's removal. She took it down. I swear she is nuts.
So, it was a fun and exhausting weekend. I still feel pretty crappy but was able to enjoy most things. I also sliced my finger on a bread knife, it was lovely.
I'm glad that you found that deer! For 1$, that was meant to be:)

Hahaha that's awesome about the deer! I saw you weren't too thrilled with the one he brought home, but like we said, slim pickins the day before Christmas eve :-) I know I've said it a bazillion times, but I'm so darn happy/excited/thrilled for you guys! Merry Christmas to you, DH, R, and your little miracle!
BTW: A has a BIG TIME crush on R! She was in her crib when we got home, singing (chanting) his name over and over. And the Christmas card with his pictures on it magically ended up at her eye level on the fridge! lol She keeps showing the card to my IL's :-)
Yay, glad everyone was excited! I could tell you didn't like the deer either, but what a lucky find you ended up with!
Hey - remember that long sleeve shirt you rec'd a loooong time ago? The one that is great for post-partum bc it hides your belly? Well, I just wanted to say it also works great as a maternity shirt! I wore it thru almost my whole pregnancy haha.
Re: June, how did your family react?
