Confused about what my DR is thinking.

I have another appointment at my clinic at 8 am. My Dr wants to see if what my HCG levels are doing right now.

He thinks there might be a chance that my levels could go up even though the baby is two monthes behind in growth at 5 weeks. (so far it's been ruled as a missed miscarriage) but he says that a heartbeat wouldn't show up at five weeks (I know that)

I feel like he is just trying to give me false hope.... I mean I'm not cramping or bleeding or anything but it's so improbable that any good news is going to come out of this guys mouth.

and it sucks that I had to wait until after this holidays to finish getting all these tests just because everything was closed.

I feel like I'm posting the same things over and over again but I don't know what else to do. Every time I talk to anyone in my family they try make me feel better but accidentally say the wrong things.

I'm really sorry that you are going through this with your doctor. I'm not quite sure of your full situation but if I understand you correctly, you are 12 weeks along but the baby only measured 5 weeks? That's quite a variance but there probably are some doctors out there that would still take a wait and see approach, especially if you aren't having any miscarriage symptoms.

Only you know in your heart of hearts what is true. If you are sure of your ovulation or conception date then you know where this baby's growth should be. I do know the feeling of being strung along when I feel like it's over. I feel like no one will agree with me and it's making me very mad! But I understand for liability purposes, they may feel like they have to do otherwise.

I just wanted to reach out and give you a virtual hug and say I understand.

When I went to urgent care when my spotting started, I was 12 weeks while baby was only measuring 7. The doctor told me the same thing, and I've been wondering this weekend if, at my prenatal appointment, if something should've been said about baby being so far behind in growth.

I hope that your body lets you know soon so that you can have some peace.

I should be 13w4days right now and ALL of my symptoms are gone. My breasts are down to their old size....it has been 8 days right now since I got the bad news and i feel like this is just being drug out and I'm tired of waiting around. I just want to know whats going on.

I'm may be confused, but what im hearing is alarming me - I think from the information your saying that you should be 13w and your LO is measuring 5w, but you are still carrying? I assume you say you are 13w because you got a BFP that puts you at that date. If this is the case, your at a high risk of septic infection and you should have the products of conception removed immediately, either via drugs or surgically. I also assume your dr. did a vaginal ultrasound for sizing and looking for the heartbeat... If your dr. Isn't doing any if this, please please go see someone who came "move things along".
