Ugh... so ready to move on

So I was supposed to have a D&C last Tuesday, but they wouldn't do it because I had the flu the week before and had too much fluid in my lungs, and apparently that's not safe with general anesthesia.  Unfortunately, since I had the immune system of a pregnant woman (just without the viable baby of course), I found out that my flu turned into pneumonia.  

I'm scheduled for a D&C again tomorrow.  I've been on antibiotics for the past 5 days, but I am worried that I still have too much fluid in my lungs.  I'm definitely getting better, but I'm still coughing and I can still hear fluid in there.  Plus, Dr. Google says it takes pneumonia 2 weeks to clear up.  I'm afraid I'm going to be continuing in limbo land even longer.

And to add more insult to injury, I can't drink while I'm on antibiotics, so I'm having to go through this miserable time, along with the holidays, dead sober. Ugh!

    I'm so sorry you're going through this.  T&P's your way that the antibiotics did what they needed to and there's no fluid on your lungs, so you can begin the process of starting to heal.

    (hugs) sorry you have to go through this. If your lungs are still filled tom, maybe ask for IV antibiotics. GL

    Oh Babina, that just SUCKS!  I saw your post on the IVF check in, and thought how you really have insult to injury ... or worse if there was one!   :(   HUGE hugs to you.  I wish there was more I could do.  Hope you feel better soon.

    Us: 39(me)/41(he). TTC since April '11. DOR/MFI. March '12: surgery to remove fibroids, cysts, and endometriosis.

    IVF #2: 11/12 cycle postponed due to Sandy and then cancelled due to elevated E2.

    I am so sorry you have to go through this!  I hope you are able to get the D&C today so that you can start to heal physically but even more emotionally.  Being in limbo is the worst and you can't start to heal until it is over.  (((HUGS)))

    How awful!  I've never been as sick as I was with pneumonia. You need to be able to heal, and I hope you are able to ASAP. Big hugs.

    (((hugs))) so sorry you are having to deal with this!  Having health issues on top of IF is like adding insult to injury.  I hope you are able to heal as quickly as possible.

    Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.

    IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.

    Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

    Thanks, everyone, for all of your support.  I luckily was cleared for my surgery this morning, and it went without a hitch.  I'm home now, feeling pretty good.  Knock on wood that there went the last of my complications and I can start moving on.
