Best Bottles for twins?

I am new to the bottle thing since my son refused one and was exclusively breastfed. Can you recommend the best bottles and accessories I will need for them? I used Dr. Browns a little bit in the early weeks (when my son would take a bottle) and I liked them but I hear they have too many parts to clean and that they are a pain with twins. Would love thoughts as I know nothing about bottles...Thanks!

Re: Best Bottles for twins?

  • I bought the cheapo ones (Gerber and Evenflo). They attached to my pump and worked just fine for us

  • Sorry, we were Dr. Browns users here.  We got the dishwasher baskets and found it wasn't too bad and just ran the dishwasher nightly.
  • We use Dr. Browns and love them. I have been exclusively pumping the whole time since both boys would never latch. We have 52 bottles - yes 52! We have a bucket in the garage that we drop the dirty ones into. I wash them by hand every 2-3 days. It takes a good 60-90 minutes to do them all but it's not that bad since we have so many.

  • Avent bottles worked best for us when we were using them.

Us, too. We had a day's worth of bottles and would put all the parts in dishwasher baskets and run it at night.

  • We are also using dr browns. The parts really don't bother me. We just drop in a bowl of hot soapy water to soak and handwash and then use the Dr Browns microwave steam sterilizer twice a week. I have the dishwasher baskets but we don't run our dw enough to use those very often.

That's what I do too! I actually use Dr. Browns for one baby and Playtex ventaire for the other. I have two dishwasher baskets. I quickly hand wash all the bottles/nipples at night (I don't rinse or anything) then put them in the dishwasher and run it at night.
