Who all got in a fight at Christmas?

I guess I am still pissed from a confrontation I had on Christmas Eve with my aunt and need to vent. LO was very fussy as he was not napping well that day with everything going on and from stopping at a few different places. I really wanted LO to get a good nap in so he didn't turn into an over tired mess later. I wanted him in a quiet room and did not care if everyone had to wait to see him...Well my aunt kept making comments like....he will sleep when he is tired....my kids slept anywhere....she did not think I should worry about nap time and should just go with the flow. Well maybe I was overly sensitive but I blew up after about her 3rd comment and said she does not know my kid and I am with him every day and think I know what is best for him. Anyone else get into a fight with a relative over there parenting this Christmas? If I ever have a LO this young around Christmas again I am staying home!

    Yeah my husbands uncle had the nerve to call us at 930 pm to ask why we left MIL house so soon and that he was mad that he didnt see his nephews. REALLY??  We left MIL at 8pnm.  Were we supposed to wait til 930 when his drunk butt showed up.  I answered the phone when he called and once he started saying this I just passed the phone to DH.  Left him handle it.

    Not even ready to go into it, but I had a really crappy Christmas. My life is kind of upside-down right now. Ugh.

    No fights- yet. ILs decided not to come up at the last minute because they'd apparently rather spend a week at Disney than with their son and granddaughter. I'm sure this will blow up at any moment.

    Not really fighting just annoyed all around. Like you mentioned the day is so hectic and screws with their routine and that makes for a fussy baby. On my end everyone thinks they have the magic touch and everyone is a self-proclaimed baby whisperer! My DD hates everyone except me right now so when ever my fussy baby gets snatched from my arms she turns into a hysterical baby. So glad it's over. On that note I am truely looking forward to next year because I think it will be more fun for all.

    I refuse to get in a fight with anyone over my parenting decisions.

    My kid, my rules.

    I just listen and say, "Thanks. I'll take that into consideration for future reference. Today we're trying this though."

    Everyone likes to b*tch about parenting philosophies. I refuse to fall victim. Life's to short to argue about what does and doesn't work for my kid.

    All of this. I could have started some fights but was biting my tongue all week. At one point I finally got LO to sleep in his car seat at the in-laws and MIL came over and proceeds to sit right in front of his seat on the floor staring at him while talking very loudly to people across the room. What do ya know... LO wakes up and she goes, "well that was a short nap!" NO SH*&! You just woke him up with your shrieking! Ugh, sorry... needed to get that out. I feel bad venting to DH all the time.

    Sorry ladies all the know it all baby advice is funny to me. MIL &FIL live with us and MIL always says Lil Man is something. Crying automatically means he is hungry or sleepy and I think some times gets jealous when I pick him up and he is fine.

    No fights, but my family came over to our house Xmas eve at about 4:30pm just after I had fed DD.  She immediately started crying and cried on and off for 3 hours, until she finally went down for the night.  After about an hour they all left and came back in the morning.  DD is teething pretty bad and Xmas eve has been the worst evening so far!
