I go in on Tuesday to get my staples out. How was that experience for you? I have no clue what to expect.
Edited because I am an English teacher and that's what we do.

    It's not bad. I was told to take pain meds before going and since the area is still numb, I only felt a pinch when a couple were removed. They put steri strips then over the incision and I was good to go.

    I had dissolving staples this time, but with ds I had traditional ones and they didn't feel like much of anything coming out.

    Tiny little prickles - not painful at all!

     

    Me: PCOs DH: Perfect!
    4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!

    Same as everyone else said. Not bad at all. I had mine removed in the hospital before I left.

    Same here I had mine removed the day of my discharge. I was terrified about them being removed and asked for the strongest pain med I could have the doctor laughed and said it wasnt going to hurt that bad and.... It didnt and I'm the biggest baby in the world I didnt even feel them taking them out.

    Plucking my eyebrows is more painful than getting staples taken out.  Doesn't hurt anymore than a tiny pinch and I had 30 of them!  The nurse put the steri-strips on afterwards, and those stayed on until my 2-week pp visit.  Those hurt worse coming off.

    Mine were removed a week after DS was born ......not bad at all ...didn't feel anything ....=)

    When I had mine out, I did feel a slight pinching.  I felt so much more comfortable once they were out, though.

    Mine were removed the morning I left the hospital (day 5 PP).  It didn't hurt at all! I was surprised!

    Not bad at all! I was prepared for pain but it wasn't bad. I had one that twisted and that was a pretty good tug to get out, otherwise just pinches.

    i took tylenol before i went and a few staples were little pinches and others i didn't feel at all.
