Trying to Get Pregnant

Monday B*tchfest anyone?

I know we just had time off to spend with family and friends to celebrate the holidays, but anyone have something to vent about?

Re: Monday B*tchfest anyone?

  • Mine is my RE's office said they are answering the phone from 7:30-12 each day.  I called at 9:15 and no one answered.  I just wanna go in, give my blood, and move on with my day.

  • Mine is not a real legitmate beef, more of a confession. I don't feel like doing $hit today. This is the only day I have off this week for the holidays and I just want to veg in my pjs, but after all the junk I've eaten, I know I should at least make it to the gym.

Also, my MIL always gives me and my SILs Christmas-themed gifts for Christmas. Yesterday, I got another snowman cookie jar (I already have one from her about two years ag), snowflake salt and pepper shakers, a snowman spatula and Christmas tupperware. Keep in mind, this year I didn't even have the time or energy to put up a tree, much less the two large plastic bins of other Christmas themed items she has gotten us. If I don't put up a tree, do you think I'll spend time swapping out my salt and pepper shaker?? I know this sounds TOTALLY ungrateful, so again, this "b*tch" should be labled a FFC.

  • As much as I want to see my out of town family, I do NOT want to drive 8 hours to go see them, when I was just there last month. Also, I have to stay with my dad, and if anybody remembers him from my last post (he blames me for my miscarriage), that will NOT be a pleasant experience.

  • DH and I had my immediate family plus an aunt, a few uncles, and my sister's fiance's family over for Christmas breakfast yesterday. We did all the cooking, and everyone left without even offering to help clean up! Not that we usually accept, but it's nice if they'd at least offer.

Then we went over to my parent's house for an early Christmas dinner. My mom had surgery on her foot on Friday, so wasn't able to help cook. So, DH and I, as well as my Aunt did a lot of the cooking. When it came to clean up, my sister, her fiance, my brother and uncles all went and sat back on the couch. SO guess who was responsible for cleaning up? All the people that cooked!!!! Despite a ton of pointed bitching/comments, none of them got up to help clean. Jerks.

I have been working my BUTT off at work for the last month and a half.  60 hour weeks, ruined holiday plans, no time to do things that needed to be done at home and almost zero time to enjoy the holiday season, which is my favorite time ever.  My husband has the last two weeks of the year off (w/o having to take vacation time) and he had a big long list of things that he was going to do these weeks.  Things that desperately needed to get done around the house since I haven't been around to be on top of it, and when I am not around, he is lazy.

Well, he woke up yesterday with a cold.  Men are effing BABIES when they get a cold.  He has done nothing but whine and act pitiful since.  I know nothing is going to get done off that damn list and I am actually looking forward to going back to work tomorrow so I dont have to deal with him.

    I am a horrible wife.

Amen to that! DH woke up with a stuffy nose and a scratchy throat, and he made sure to mention it every few hours throughout the day and make a production of blowing his nose.

Sorry you got stuk with all the cleaning, but passive-aggressive much??  You could have asked for help just as easily as they could have offered....no?

Yep. I asked my siblings, because they are the ones that should have been in there! Of course they gave some bullsh*t answers.  The way I see it is they all watched while DH and I cooked AND cleaned all day. If they couldn't see that and step up and offer to do SOMETHING, especially after being asked, they can listen to my comments.

And believe me, this isn't an isolated event. Every time DH and I go over there for dinner, we end up cleaning up while my brother sits on the couch and watches sports and my sister is texting on her phone.

  • I'll bite.

    Yesterday was not enjoyable.

Before any conclusions are drawn...I want to preface my complaint with the following: I love Christmas. I love the reason for the season, I love celebrating the birth of Jesus and attending church services. I love spending time with my families.

Okay. Now for the vent. Yesterday we spent 6 hours in the car. DH is a church organist for a church that is an hour away from our house. Since Christmas fell on a Sunday this year, our timeline was a little wonky.

My parents are divorced, so we had to visit my Dad's house, my Mom's house, and my Grandparents always have a big party, so we had to go there as well. Then, we had to go to Kevin's parents house.

We did not get home from church until 1:00. (Church was over at noon and an hour drive home). Then, we drove an hour to my Dad's house. We stayed there for about two and half hours. Then, we went to my grandparents house. We were there for awhile longer because my entire family was there. Then, we went to my Mom's house. It was 7:30 by the time we got to her house, and we still had to drive an hour back to be with Kevin's parents.

We kind of cut her time a little short, and I can tell she was a little miffed about it. So back in the car we went to DH's parents. We didn't get to their house until 9:30 last night and stayed until Midnight.

I'm freaking tired. Exhausted. And bitter that we weren't able to spend time with everyone as much as we would've liked to. We did spend time with DH's parents on Christmas Eve, so hopefully they remember that and aren't upset.

Bah. I was so tired last night I couldn't even walk. I don't like when Holidays are so busy you can't actually enjoy them.

  • I was just at the mall looking for jeans and left with nothing.  I'm short and fat so I have a hard time finding jeans that fit right.  It's my fault for not losing weight, but sadly this doesn't really motivate me.  I wish it would.

  • I'm just generally pissy today. MH left today to go on Christmas vacation with his family (note: I'm happy that he can go). I'm stuck working through Thursday before I can go down too (and then drive back Sunday). I'm supposed to have my HSG done Thursday afternoon though, so who knows when I'll actually get to go. AND, I can't go unless I get all my sh!t done at work... which wouldn't br bad except that I'm doing mine & the other girl (who is on maternity leave)'s work. I have no clue how to do some of her stuff, but my boss just wants it done.

Yuck!  There is all kinds of crap going around (strep and a really bad strain of pink eye) topped the list right before Christmas break.

    Hope you feel better soon.

There is so much crap going around right now, it's insane. Tylenol and other cold medicine mfg's are probably making so much money right now.  We called my MIL to ask if we needed to stay at a hotel (my BIL has leukemia and we don't want to compromise his immune system) but everyone in the house except for BIL has a cold as well.
