Our daughter just turned 2 and we think it's time to transition her to a big girl bed. We just started looking around at bedroom sets, and wanted to get some feedback. Everything at IKEA, Ashley's, etc. seems cheap--that plywood feel. We are trying to find something in real wood that will last but isn't super expensive. Also, we were thinking of getting a full bed rather than twin but wasn't sure on size--if she will feel like that's way too big for her. We're just trying to make one purchase that's a set she can have forever. Thanks!!
Re: Where did you buy your toddler's bedroom set?
We got DS1s big boy furniture at pottery barn kids. It's well made and wasn't overly expensive, especially beacuse I bought it in Oct during their Friends & Family event and got 20% off. I feel like the top of his dresser scratches too easily but they have touch up pens that help.
We plan to buy DS2 a matching bed and 2nd dresser next fall.
ETA: We chose twin size. I'm sure he'll need something bigger at some point, but the twin is good for now. If he had a full we could probably take the rails off, but with the twin he still needs them on.
