Bedrest as a Christmas gift ::SIGH::

So I had 3 trips to L&D this week because my dr. didn't like my BP readings. After 1st trip, I got stuck on bed rest. After the third trip they finally decided to keep me for a 24 hr observation/urine collection. I got excited when the Dr. said they would induce me that night if my BP was still up and down. Only problem was, they took 2 readings the remainder of the evening and it had gone down. (seemed odd to me for being monitored for BP that they were only checking every 5-6 hrs) Next day, it was back up and down, but they changed their mind and didnt want to induce. So instead, i was sent home and given a christmas gift: MORE BEDREST!

so yay, stuck at home, in bed, unable to travel, and all the familia is 5 hrs away. With all the problems of BP last week, I was hoping for that christmas baby, but i guess she's just not ready. I hate being so impatient!!

  • I'm sorry, that sucks.  You're not the only one stuck on bedrest at Christmas, I know that probably doesn't make you feel better though.  I was supposed to be induced last Tuesday due to BP and IUGR, but then my OB changed his mind because things weren't getting worse.  I understand exactly how you feel.

  • So sorry! Waiting on LO has tested my patience like nothing ever has before, so I can't imagine being on bedrest. Try to enjoy it, although I know that's easier said than done. Happy holidays!
