Early Christmas Miracle Baby

Baby Eliza Adelaide burst into our world 5 1/2 weeks early, last Thursday, December 15th.

My water broke the morning of the 14th, I labored for 29 hours, pushed for 4, and out she came!

She weighed in at a whopping 6lbs, 5 oz, and measured 17.5 inches long. Other than elevated bilirubin levels due to her preemie-status, Baby girl is healthy as a horse, and even the pediatricians rated her healthier than a lot of full-term babies!

Labor was rough, delivery was even rougher, and I am recovering (slowly) from an episiotomy that was not what I anticipated, but was completely necessary to get her big head out! We spent 5 days in the nursery/NICU, and came home on the 19th.

She looks just liker her Daddy, but she has my crooked pinkies. Life is beautiful, and she is perfect!!
