1st post here: Milk allergy/ intolerance RP

I'm wondering if my son is. He used to LOVE milk, but lately gets sick after having something with milk and will even ask me, "is there milk in this?" I can only drink milk in small amounts, my MIL and DH are also lactose intolerant. He has had no problem drinking milk up to this point. Can the dr run some kind of test? What is the best milk substitute?

He issues with milk have developed over the past couple of months. So strange. This is my 6yo.

    Sounds to me like your 6 yr old may be lactose intolerant.  Buy a quart of lactose free milk and have him try it out (if you have an Albertsons, theirs is one of the best tasting, otherwise just get the Lactaid brand milk).

    Diary is one of those things that build up in your system and can sometimes take a while to develop into problems.  Plus, intolerances tend to show up later than allergies do.
