Did you ever hear that saying . .. "You know you're having a girl, because she steals your beauty" ?

I am totally starting to think it is true! I am not complaining when I say this, but rather just stating my observations: I feel like a look frumpy all the time. My skin is dry and pale and my hair is lackluster. All that said, I'm so glad she's stealing my beauty and growing happily in there!

I have heard that saying but more around your skin breaking out and you gain weight all over instead of just your belly. I thought I was having a boy because my skin has actually been slightly better than normal. I've never had great skin but it's not terrible either.

I heard it! It was one of the main reasons I think I'm having a girl. My skin and hair is super oily and I have not felt like putting on make up at all.

When I was pregnant with my son, I felt really cute. This time around, my skin is gross and I feel kinda dumpy.

I've heard this a ton! That's one of the reasons I thought I was having a boy because my face is pretty clear and acting normal and my sister complimented how shiny and soft my hair was! Although my chest is pretty broken out, which is gross. As long as she's happy in there, I could care less!

We didn't know what we were having, and she said, "I know that you are having a girl because she has stolen all of your beauty". I was DUMBFOUNDED. Then the biotch was right, lol!

So maybe it's true, but I don't suggest saying it to anyone

I've never heard that. BUT. Holy crap. Its true. If I had a nickel for every time someone has said "you look rough" "you look like crap" "what's wrong with you" "are you sick" well, I might be rich but I'd have some extra cash. Sheesh. This little girl has wiped me out.

DH once said that to a friend when she said she was pregnant with a girl. He didn't realize how bad it sounds until a group of us heard he said it (I wasn't there when he did) and our mouths all dropped.

It was totally true with me with DD. And this time around I've had good hair/skin and we all joked there had to be at least one boy is in there.

Yep.... it's pretty bad.

My face looks like I'm a whale...I'm pale, and have horrid dry skin...BUT it's also oily. I have like 3 HUGE zits on my face that are the size of the moon..

Pretty much awful. I never had skin probelsm when I'm not pregnant... and it really wasn't bad at all with DS, but this is just awful.

No big difference for me between my pregnancy now and when I was pregnant with Connor. I love having a belly to be proud of and my hair is looking decent... my issue with both pregnancies has been my skin... acne... argh.

I'm also skinnier this pregnancy (have lost some weight... I'm "thinner" now than before I got pregnant with Connor!).

I have heard this and I told my coworker just yesterday that I think it is true. I feel like I look like crap. A little broken out but other than that I can't put my finger on what it specifically is, I just look in the mirror and feel ugly. boo.

I agree haha, when I was pregnant with my son I never broke out, my hair was thicker and shiny, and I was all belly! This time my face is gross and oily and breaking out all the time, my hair is so dry and frizzy, and my hips are much wider! I feel gross all the time,but oo well it's ok, i'm still super excited about having a little girl

When I was pregnant with DD in China, all the Chinese women said this to me! lol

With both pregnancies, I have never felt more beautiful. I feel... full of life, and love, and so much more! It makes me want to be pregnant all the time!

I had someone tell me she knew I was having a girl because I looked pregnant from behind. I can't wait to tell her that she was wrong!! I have a big JLo booty and it may look bigger because I have to stick it out a bit to balance my stomach in the front, but thats just because I'm puerto rican lol
