What does LO dropping/lightening feel like?

I keep having this weird shooting pain in my lower abdomen that stretches way down south... It just started yesterday and I can't figure out what it is??

 

Anyone else having the same pain?

    I didn't really notice any stretching or pain, at least any more than normal.  But I remember looking at a photo DH took of me and thinking that I looked lower.  And the place where I could feel LO's bottom was lower and his/her feet were no longer up in my ribs when I was sitting down.  And breathing and eating became easier :)

    My doc confirmed I had dropped 2 weeks ago when she measured me and the measurement hadn't changed from the week before, and she could feel LO's head when she checked my cervix.

    for me when LO dropped it felt like someone started shifting my hips wider. She got her head strait down into my lower abdoment instead of stuck in my bladder. I eat easier, breathe easier, but I get those shooty pains too. Dr says her head is likely pressing on a nerve down there so it feels like someone is pinching my whoha with a hot pair of tweezers.

    Kind of like sharpness in my vag canal, that's what I refer to as lightning crotch. I've been having that for a few weeks every now and then.  OB says it's baby sitting or hitting a nerve in my cervix.

    This will sound crazy, but when he dropped, it felt like I was on an elevator. I didn't realize at the time what had happened until I saw myself in the mirror a few days later and realized I could breathe more.

    I hope you figure out what is causing your pain. I know at this point pretty much everything is uncomfortable.

    When my guy dropped last week, I actually had some painful contractions which then turned into diarrhea. I guess it was my body clearing out space for him. But now I can breathe so much easier!

    I don't remember any specific pain being associated with DS dropping.  I just know all the sudden he's been putting a lot of pressure on my bladder and at my visit 2 days ago the doc said DS has dropped.
