This week has been so difficult! I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow and am so ready to have these babies here. On Monday, they were 4.11 oz. and 4.9 oz. so they are growing well. Doctor says we will schedule my c section when I see him next Tuesday. It will be for the first week of January (37 weeks) I have gained 15lbs. in 2 weeks and am having a lot of heart burn and problems breathing. I've had a chest cold that won't go away since about Thanksgiving, dr. gave me an inhaler yesterday. I need some encouragment, suggestions, anything!!!!! HELP!
Re: I need encouragement---this pregnancy is killing me!
This! Once you have those beautiful little ones in your arms you will be so glad that you kept them in so long. Good luck! We all know how tough it is but you can do it!
You're at the toughest part. YOU CAN DO IT! Rest as much as you can and enjoy your last pregnant weeks. Strangely, I missed it...even the last few weeks.
Good luck!
Gosh, I think your my hero. Im at 30 weeks and miserable. I will do whatever it takes to keep these boys cooking. But the moments of utter misery, when you can't do it anymore already peaks for me. Your in my prayers and hope your landing is smooth. Keep us updated.
Man, I'm feeling the same way that you are and I'm only 15 weeks. So, I guess its going to be a LONG road for me. I have had heartburn since about week 7. It got the the point where tums wouldn't do the trick. So, I've been taking prilosec and it works really well. Maybe, if you can get your heartburn under control that will be one less uncomfortable factor you'll have to deal with. I too, have had the head cold thing since Thanksgiving. I guess that's normal during pregnancy because our sinues are swollen....along with everything else
I've never done this before, so I have no experiences to pull from. I'm sure when i'm as far as long as you are, I'll be reaching out for support. I hope that people will tell me to think about being able to take home our babies when we get to leave the hospital...no NICU time. That will be your reward!!!!
Hopefully, you'll be able to be around your family and friends during this time and have them wait on you hand and foot. Ask them to make you something you're craving or a sweet dessert. Good luck sister...hang in there and hold on to the fact that you'll have take home babies!
Oh my god, the heartburn... I was waking up every night around 4am with ridiculous heartburn, some nights to the point where I'd get sick because of it. I started taking 2 teaspoons of the Walmart version of Mylanta every night before bed and that's helped a ton. Tums helps a little when I get it during e day, but for me it's the worst at night.
I'm also putting on weight a lot more quickly since I got put on bed rest. I'm trying to be good about it, but I gained 5 pounds in the past 9 days. Getting in and out of bed is such a chore and kills my back, but I'm trying to avoid sleeping in the recliner. My c-section is scheduled for my 37th week as well and while I'm very uncomfortable I'm hoping they stay put until the c-section. Just keep in mind that there's an end in sight!
I'm 31w3d now and I feel your pain! There are times that I can't wait for these babies to get here, but I know that I ultimately want them to stay in as long as they are willing.
You're doing a great job--hang in there!!
For my heartburn I took Prevacid TWICE a day per my doctors suggestion.
I know you think your not going to make it much longer but you can...and you WILL! The longer in there the better. At 35 weeks I was DONE but then I made it 1 more week. My water broke and it all went by so fast...your almost there mama hang on tight, your going to blink and this pregnancy will be over!
GL!
