Dust for DD in the am

DD had a sty a week or two ago. This past week she got what appeared to be a pimple on her cheek. She's been with her grandparents the last couple days and I picked her up today. The "pimple" looks worse and she was complained her leg hurt. She has another "pimple" on her thigh except this one is really swollen. I thinks it's a boil. Nurse said she needs to be seen cause it could be staph infection now. They may need to drain the two "pimples." Can I can get some dust that they don't have to drain the pimples because I can't imagine how painful that would be. Also dust  that it's a simple fix.

  • Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like she needs to have them drained before they get even bigger. It may just consist of unroofing them and expressing the pus out it now (which isn't exactly comfortable) but better that than them getting bigger and having to have something more invasive done to drain them :(

    Good luck dear.

  • :::Good thoughts and dust her way this morning:::
  • lots of dust!

Ouch.  This!  Hope this morning goes smoothly!

  • Dust for her! For some reason I have skin that gets these fairly often. Depending on the depth of them they really don't hurt to drain. But I'm sure for a little one it's not going to be pleasant.

  • Either this time or next, make sure then send off a "culture" so they know exactly what is causing them so they can pinpoint treatment. There are whole body treatments you can do that help eliminate staph to prevent recurrent infections.

  • Bless her heart! Hopefully it's a quick fix and not staph. I know from when I had infected abscesses (looked like bad pimples) once they were popped and antibiotics started, then they didn't hurt anymore and felt so much better.
  • I hope y'all are already home and comfortable, but lots of *** pain free, get well soon dust*** for your DD!

  • We're at the dr now. It is staph. She had to have the pimple/boil drained on her leg. Holy hell it must have hurt because she screamed and we had to hold her down.

And as the dr was coming in, DS started throwing up. Quiet a scene DS throwing up and DD crying because DS is throwing up and the dr trying to come in.  So now we're waiting for DS to be seen.
