  Depends.  Does it call for a yellow butter cake mix?  If not you should be good to go.  Otherwise, I'd send DH to the store for butter cake mix.

  It didn't and I made it using white and it came out awesome and I couldn't tell the difference from previous times I'd made it! (sorry I can't make the link clicky)
