I am off today since we didn't have childcare. L is working half day and her parents went with her to go to the mall and power walk while she works. I am going to be taking the kids to a new bounce place this morning. This evening, we'll go to dinner and then we are going to see lights.
Tomorrow L is taking her parents to the airport at o'dark thirty. I have no idea what we are doing the rest of the day. One thing I do know is that we are going to have 2 VERY excited boys on our hands. They have already started running around the house yelling, "SANTA IS COMING TOMORROW NIGHT!!!" When we finally get them to sleep, we'll set out stockings and gifts and be SO thankful that this is the first year in so many years that we aren't going to be sitting in the basement with an allen wrench for hours.
Christmas Day will be low-key. The kids will play with their toys, L and I will read. I bought a beef tenderloin to cook with spinach polenta. If we can get motivated, we might go see a movie.
Monday L and I are off of work, but the kids are going to winter break camp anyways. We are going to have a date and go to lunch and see a movie before picking them up early.
Tonight we'll light the 4th candle and read the prayer. After that it was planned that our babysitter would come so DW and I could have a holiday dinner w/ good friends who are in town, but the babysitter (who is also Daisy's daycare provider) went home sick yesterday so its TBD on if she'll make it tonight. I"m also hoping to get out of work early to do all my food shopping for christmas.
Tomorrow morning i'm kicking DW and the kids out of the house so I can clean, cook, and wrap (no, i havent wrapped a single gift yet...). Then we'll have them take a little rest before heading to Church and dinner at my parents' house.
Sunday - Christmas! The morning will be just our little family for gifts and breakfast (the way i like it). Kids will play/rest and then my side of the family will join us for Christmas dinner. fingers crossed we can get my grandmother into our house...
Monday DW has to work and I'm home with the kids - hopefully they will still be high off the excitement of new toys and it'll be easy
Tonight we frantically finish packing and cleaning and then travel to our friend's apartment that is significantly closer to the airport. I really wish that either of us had been able to take today off, but we both needed to work.
Tomorrow we fly to DW's family! I'm sure we'll spend the late afternoon and early evening frantically wrapping gifts, since we had most of them mailed there and it's dificult to fly with wrapped presents. Then we'll go to the Christmas Eve service at DW's childhood church with her family.
Christmas! We'll sleep in (no children on that side of the family yet) while her dad goes to mass, and then we'll do cinnamon rolls and presents and traditional dinner with DW's parents and siblings.
Then we get a glorious over a week of vacation!! This may be the part I'm most excited for. Mid-week we fly to MA and will spend the end of the week (my birthday!) with my family. But I guess that's really next weekend's weekend update!
TTC with PCOS since July 2011.
IVF Oct/Nov 2012
Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 190, Beta #3 = 1044
Cautiously optimistic.
Today I am off from work, so I am hanging out with the kids and trying to get our last minute shopping done. It is lightly snowing here so maybe I will bundle them up for a walk/stroll in the snow
Tomorrow (at some point) we are heading over to the in-laws and are still trying to decide what to do there for Christmas Eve. I think we are deciding between fondue or crab. We are probably spending the night.
Sunday--we will spend most if not all of the day at the in-laws. I am thinking we will have a low-key family Christmas. Presents and breakfast in the morning and then just hanging out all day. Eli is still pretty young to understand what is going on, but I think he will really get into the presents this year. Both kids LOVE the lights and ornaments on the tree!
Monday we are off from work and we are doing Christmas with Kel's mother's family.

Tomorrow we will be with J's family, they stay up until midnight to open gifts. I'm looking forward to tamales, rice, and beans for dinner. I guess we are only doing Christmas for the kids and will celebrate Christmas for the adults on Three Kings Day (Jan 6). I was hoping we wouldn't have to stay up until midnight since we are only doing kids gifts but it looks like we will be, I'm sure the kids aren't going to enjoy being up so late.
We are going to my Dad's on Christmas morning where we will probably watch movies and veg all day. I think my sister and her family will be going also. A comes home at 8pm so we have to leave in time to meet her at home.
J's brother is getting pygmy goats for the girls, they should be born in the next week, the girls have no idea but are going to be super excited to go the the farm and meet their babies.

Awww. How awesome. I want a pygmy goat!
I'm sure we are going to get one or two more besides the ones the girls get, one can be your honorary goat! We have an honorary chicken for a friend of ours and we send her updates every now and then, lol.

That is awesome!
I want enough land someday that we can have some Chickens and a goat (or two or twelve).
I watch Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood and I love that they have chickens and goats... IN THEIR HOUSE.
The house we are moving into has .5 acres that are fenced off from the main yard so we have enough space to have more chickens, goats and a pig or two along with a garden.
This is the first year since I can't remember when that I took 2 days off before the holiday. I'm so glad I did. So much to do, so little time, and I'm the only one to do it! I've been baking, frosting, cleaning house, laundry, piled my car full of stuff to donate, wrapped gifts, etc.
My folks are arriving here soon. This afternoon I'm taking them and my bro to see the house I put an offer on. It looks like it's going to come together, just a long wait because it's a short sale. Fingers crossed. After that I'll pick up E who is spending some extra holiday time with her dad and then we'll head to my bro/SIL's for an early celebration. They leave to go to her family tomorrow.
Tomorrow: E goes to her dad's for their family celebration. I'll be at home setting up the aquarium which is her big gift from me. The folks will come over and we'll hang, I'll make some lentil soup and hopefully have some down time.
Sunday: I'll head to E's dad's early that morning where she'll open her Santa gifts from both of us. Then she'll come back home with me for time with me and grandma and grandpa.
Monday: I'm off work and school is closed. Grandma and grandpa will head for home and hopefully E and I will have a chill day and maybe go see a movie.
We got dismissed early from work yesterday, so I picked up one last present before heading home to make my mom's Christmas cookies with my sisters. I am just waiting for brownies to come out of the oven (dessert tomorrow is brownie sundaes with peppermint stick ice cream) and then I'm heading to the gym.
Dinner tonight is at my sister's house, then my family comes to our house in the morning for stockings, breakfast, presents, and an early afternoon Christmas dinner. My dad and stepmother go to her family celebration in the evening, and my sisters and I usually make an appearance.
So glad I have Monday off to do all the dishes and clean up the mess and finally do nothing!
