Leap Frog Leapster Explorer or Leappad?

Which is better?  I already got her the Explorer, but I'm not sure if I should get the Leappad instead.  BTW - it's on the TRU website and looks like they get it to you by Christmas if those of you are still in need of one.

    I did the same thing. On Black Friday I intended to pick up the Leap Pad for DS (he turned 3 in September), but I didn't realize how popular it was and you couldn't get it in stores on online anywhere. So, I picked up the Explorer as a back-up, but still intended to look for the Leap Pad, while also comparing the two to really decide which one would be better for DS.

    I used this comparison on Leapfrog's website to help me make my decision. Sorry it's not clicky, don't know how to do that from my MAC.

    It's for Christmas, so DS hasn't used it yet, but I decided on the Leap Pad over the Explorer because it has a touch screen and DS is used to (and has pretty much mastered) my iPhone. 

    It was SO hard to find, and I had to stay up until almost 1 a.m. one morning hitting refresh on the Leapfrog website, but I finally got one.
