What happend to just letting mom know your hungry?

instead of a full on cry. i barely get any warning these daysz.and with this growth spurt, i can't even anticipate a feeding! they are all over the map. when she cries, it sounds like she's starved! then to add, when i nurse on my left from it being so raw, i use a nipple sheild( trying to let it heal, with cream prescribed too). so i want to know, what happend to just nicely letting me know, that its grub time?

    I'm going through the same thing! Expect the nursing part. We sort of had a schedule going and now I can barely keep up with him. And I never know how much he'll be hungry for!

    Very common.  There are days when DS has zero patience, and zero warning signals.  He just starts screaming like we haven't fed him all day.

    No two days are ever the same lol.

    We have had the same issue. From 0 to freak out in seconds. I think it takes them a minute to figure out that they are really hungry and then its meltdown because they are famished.
