Thank you for sharing. I did not know that the Bundle Me was unsafe.
Unrelated, but your comment ("maybe you are heartless") on the thread about shots cracked me up!
and this was a really good thread explaining how to dress LO and the precautions you need to take with layering for the carseat, especially with the pics--hopefully everyone reads it.

I sent the link to my mom. She is constantly bugging me that C is cold in her carseat. It annoys me to no end. Not to mention that she's going from heated house to heated car.
Great info! Lots of people just don't understand how dangerous it is. I get lots of comments because my DD is in a fleece jacket but I at least know she's safe. My DS uses the shower cap style car seat cover and I love that thing!!

This is exactly us as well! And once DS outgrows the infant carrier then he will just be on fleece too. If I have to take them out when it is bitter cold I will just warm the car first and do the backwards coat and lap blanket if needed.

Honestly since we started doing this is has gotten so easy! We just take my DD out in her winter jacket. Then we take it off when she's in the seat/or put it on in the seat just before getting out of the car. Even my DH is all about doing this! I always warm the car up 1st (thank God for remote start)!! I have a fleece jacket for DS already waiting for him for when he outgrows the infant seat. Good call on the lap blanket though... I'm going to have to throw one in the car! Thanks!
Re: have you read this regarding car seats and winter coats?
