We are very pleased with our DCP on the whole. Greyson is doing really well developmentally and has some friends in his room.
But, we are sometimes annoyed that they don't share information with us about what they are working on.
We had no idea that they were reading and loving Llama Llama, he started signing patty cake and doing the hookie pookie and it took me a while to figure out what was going on. And today I said that he knew all of his numbers and they were like "yeah we have been working on numbers during circle time".
I just wish that they could give us a list every few weeks of this is what we are learning, this is what I like to play with, here are songs we sing. That way we could reinforce what is going on in the classroom.
Ok vent over.
Re: DCP vent
That would be annoying. Is he in a center? Ours has themes for each week, and we get daily sheets of what they did to go with the theme. They also post their lesson plans for the week by the classroom door.
Is there any way you could just ask them at the beginning of each week if there's anything you can do to work with him at home to go along with what they'll be doing?

Do they send home anything? Weekly or monthly newsletter w/ the theme?
Honestly, it would be close to impossible for them to tell you everything they do- they would spend more time writing then teaching. But it shouldn't be hard for them to say this month we're talking about snow, counting to 5 and the letter S, etc.
