Apartments in North Raleigh?

DH is starting the police academy in January and we are looking for apartments in the North Raleigh area. Any suggestions? Somewhere with a pool, playground, and family friendly (and under $1000 for 2 or bedroom) would be ideal. Thank you!!

Re: Apartments in North Raleigh?

  • We used to live at Regatta at Lake Lynn, and Cumberland Cove. Both had pools. I think Cumberland is more family friendly, they have a small playground and 2 pools and I think it was more families there.

Both are on Lake Lynn which has walking trails, ducks to feed and a park off the trail. Its a nice area!

  • There are a bunch of really nice apartments in and around the Wakefield area, off of New Falls of the Neuse and Wakefield Pines Drive.  I don't think that all of them have pools but they are within walking distance of the YMCA

  • They just built a new one in Wakefield, called Meridian and it is SO nice, I totally would live there. It seems pricey, but I've found that the prices listed are often more than what you can actually get them for, but to me it is in a great location and the fact that it is brand new is a plus. There is also Wakefield Glen, The Columns and the Crossing (I think that is that one). We lived in Wakefield Glen before buying our house and I liked it.

ETA: I just saw on the Meridian website that they include cable, internet, washer and dryer and then you get $450 off each month for 4 months of 2 bedrooms right now. I wish I could move in!

  • when we rented we rented near lake lynn at the intersection of lynn rd and creedmoor.  We loved living near the lake and there are parks near by.  It was convenient to everything.
  • I used to rent in the town home community called Camden Park off of Ebeneezer and Glenwood...two bedroom for $925 and gorgeous!  They have a pool which is awesome too.  Don't count out rental homes/town homes.  For $1000 you can get a lot.
