I just wanted to write a quick suggestion for anyone who is suffering from pregnancy acne! I have had skin issues since I was a teenager and used oral bc to keep it under control (but it was never totally clear). When I got pregnant, of course, it went crazy again- pimples all over my jawline, chin, forehead, chest and back! I had used proactiv on and off throughout the first tri, but stopped a while ago at the recommendation of my midwife. I have tried so many different things that seemed safe for pregnancy, including the expensive beaute de maman facial wash (which made my skin 10x WORSE!). Finally I decided to just go bare bones and spent $2.50 on the basic Neutrogena facial cleansing bar. After less than a week, I can already see an improvement. I use it every other day with my Clarisonic and it seems to be making a big difference. And it is really basic ingredients with no salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, which makes me feel better!
Just thought I would share because I have seen so many posts on here asking about safe face products. Good luck!
Re: suggestion for troubled skin
Thank you so much for this suggestion! I'm tempted to go and try this, too
With my first pregnancy I used Tea tree oil from the body shop for break outs and a patch of dandruff I had @ the front of my head and it worked well, too.
