a/s went ok....but a bit nervous now

So i knew going in that they would likely be confirming that I have a single artery umbilical which is something that generally means they need to monitor growth if all else looks good.  Well at this appointment they found 2 tiny choroid cyst less than 3mm.  Again in isolation not to worry.  Well the Dr. recommended that I go to the perinatologist to confirm what she was thinking which is that nothing is going on.  She also said that it would be definitely possible for the cysts to be gone by the time I go back.  I go on January 9th.

On the upside....baby was bouncy and moving all around everything looked good.  She was able to tell the gender but we're sticking to team green:)

Anyone else have something like this at their appointment?

I'll keep you posted :)

  • We had isolated CPC's at our Level II as well. Doctors said the same ting as yours..That at a repeat scan most likely they will be gone. We have the follow up Level II on the 4th to check for growth. Try not to worry...I know it is hard !

  • Thats for the words of encouragement:) I'm even going to dinner with the hubby tonight and to look at some cribs.  I feel like I need to keep on keepin on or this will drive me nuts.  The research I found so far isn't too scary so I'm trying to think about that:)  I mean some of its scary but only if you don't look at all of the other info I know about baby so far.

  • I'm sorry that you're having to deal with this. It is always good, though, when the doctor thinks that everything is more than likely okay and just wants to make sure. It makes me wonder if they wouldn't recommend that if we didn't live in such a litigious society - I am all for having information (like we get in the a/s, etc) - but sometimes, I think it makes us worry even more. T & P to you and your bouncing LO.
