What type of cramping do you notice? I have had cramping since my BFP, on an off. Sometimes light sometimes a little more noticeable and nagging. I've noticed it more on my left side down below my pelvic bone. Because of this (and a little brown spotting I had last week), my doc is having an early ultrasound done next week to make sure this pregnancy is not ectopic. I'm obviously pretty nervous, but I feel like this cramping is probably fairly normal. I vaguely remember cramping early on with my DD, but can't remember if it was concentrated to one side more than the other.
How about you? One side more than the other? How strong do you think it is at times?

While I haven't had any spotting, the cramps you are describing sound pretty much like what I was having for the first 2-3 weeks. Sometimes they would be stronger and they were never quite like period cramps but they were pretty consistent with occasional times where I was getting them on my right side (especially getting out of bed). Now I just have a general sense of tightness in my abs, especially first thing in the morning. Pretty sure it's all normal but good luck with the doctor!
Did they feel kind pinchy for you? I hate to use the word "stabby" because that sounds a little dramatic, so I will go with pinchy as the best way to describe. Maybe even like a "pulling" feeling?
'Pulling' sounds about right; they really didn?t feel anything like period cramps but did seem more like maybe post-workout cramps. As PP said- that ute is in overtime starting to expand lol. I was actually a little surprised about the amount of cramping I was feeling but since I knew to expect it, I just took it in stride and made sure to get up/stand up more slowly when my body was 'cold' from not moving.
Yes, I have had cramping on and off. It definitely comes and goes and drinking water seems to help, but mine is higher up on my abdomen than period cramps would be. I agree with the pulling or pinching feeling. I've also gotten cramping on my left ovary, but that happened before I got pregnant - it's from my surgery back in August.

My cramping has been going on since...probably Novemeber 29.
I even went to the Dr. on December 1st because I didn't get AF in November and had this weird cramping. Of course the test was negative but I sort of knew I was pg. Then on December 15 I finally got my BFP which made sense and the cramping was and is still happening.
The cramping isn't painful and its lighter than AF cramps. Its sort of in the middle of my abdomen??? Kind of hard to explain. I haven't had any spotting or bleeding whatsoever so my Dr. isn't concerned at all, and says its normal because this is my 1st pregnancy and my uterus is stretching.
Hope this helps. Im sure you are fine. Brown spotting is very normal (from what I have heard) and make sure you continue to think "happy thoughts".
GL.
the same exact thing happened to me with the crampng and the brown spotting! I went for a sono at 6 weeks and I had 5 cm cyst that always happens after ovulation but for some reason mine was larger than normally. They didn't seem all that concerned but they said they were going to moniter it! I think its totally normal and you need to try and releax until the sonogram (easier said then done)!
I had cramping earlier and it was quite constant. There was a 4 day period where I was VERY nervous because all the books say that if it's severe, accompanied by bleeding, or constant, then you should be worried! Well mine was constant but it turns out there was nothing wrong. So I got myself all worked up for nothing!
Also, it sounds like the brown spotting was implantation bleeding based on when it happened to you. So maybe don't worry!!!! I had bleeding right around 4 weeks, when I was due for my period. If you had it around 3 weeks then that's the time it would be from implantation.
I had awful cramping in my 6th ,7th , & part of my 8th week. My midwife said I could take Tylenol and it worked wonders. It was so bad I could not move and the pain went into my hips and lower back. I was told it is probably my muscles and such preparing. It seems to have gone away for now.
Good Luck

I've had cramping since about a week before AF was supposed to come and it has remained. It is on both sides on and off and is sometimes just a broad crampy feeling accross my low abdomen. I hope everything is well for you!
