First time posting... I AM CONFUSED!!! and a little crazy too... Lots of details.
OCT I had issues with my BC (went 2.5 wks on and off with spotting or light flo). So I called the doc and they told me to HPT. BFN. They switched my BCP to loestrin & notified to use b/u for the first week (or maybe they said pack). End of Nov I start new BCP. FYI first day LMP was 11/19, So I'm almost 5 weeks.
2 wks later my boobs are sore... DH & I go away for a weekend. Could conceived because I was Ovulating (according to pinkpad).
I was due to start 12/18, and instead I got clear/thin deep red fluid and VERY light. Next day same consistency but a light maroon-brown. Then very light spotting for a day or so (could have been discharge).... Maybe it was implantation bleeding?
Whats to blame? new BCP? am I pregnant? boobs hurt, having headaches, getting heart-burn, irritable, constipated. HPT time. 4 weeks and 4 days. BFP.
Time to tell DH. That night... & take a test to confirm- BFN. Next morning I tested PIAC w/ FMU and I didn't dip for full 20 sec - idk if BFN counts... next day around noon... BFN again. (I used digital EPT tests).
Did I have a false pos (even if they are rare)? Did I just have false neg because it is so early? did I naturally miscarry? Shouldn't I have had heavier bleeding? I know to wait a few days and HPT again, which I will (on Christmas morning) then I will go to dox and get BW confirmation...
But until then is anyone able to offer any guidance...? Thanks for hanging in there w/ me - this is/would be my first pregnancy and I am freaking a little...
Re: HELP! To be or not to be (pregnant), that is the question...
was the positive a digital test? what kind?
Good question! I got a false positive with a blue dye test a few months ago. False positives on a pink dye or digital are not common.
My positive was on an EPT - clearly said PREGNANT. Has anyone else had a false positive with EPT? I just bought Clear Blue tests in case it was the test. I will try again tomorrow morning with FMU, then Sunday if still BFN. Monday if still no results I will have a Blood Test Confirmation done at the Dr.
Thanks guys for reading such a long post - there is just a lot of variables that could make a difference!
