I'm a sucker for Christmas cookies, especially my mom's macadamia nut, chocolate dipped macaroons. OMG. And I love spending time with family that we don't get to see very often.
This year..I am really looking forward to our first Christmas with V! I can't wait to get him dressed in his snowman pjs on Christmas Eve and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to him before he drifts off to sleep with visions of sugar plums dancing in his head :-)
I love that my DH has some time off work and we are staying here! Usually when he has time off we are running around all over the place. It will be awesome to just relax and reconnect!
I think the anticipation I love decorating and thinking about Christmas...I love the lights, the cocoa, the warm fuzzies, the excitement, the songs...i just love it all!
Every year my family comes together from all over the country in my town. We take over all the local inns and B&Bs. DH and I host a cocktail hour at our home on the 26th and then we all enjoy a winter walk downtown to the Lincklaen House, the old inn at the center of town, where we have a huge Christmas dinner in the same private dining room we've been in the last 15 Christmases. It's great because no one has to cook or clean up and we can just enjoy each others company. I can't wait to share the tradition with Grace this year!

I don't even know this year! I can't wait to experience it all with DS - the anticipation is killing me! He was here last year, but only 9 months old. DD is 8 months old this year. . .
I think this will be the first Christmas that DS is really a *part* of it, kwim? I can't wait to see if he helps my sister pass out gifts, or if he lets DH walk him down front at Christmas Eve church for the kids' story time. . . I really hope it's just so much fun watching him experience it all. . .and hope he doesn't turn rotten - it's really a crap shoot at this age
