Supervisor Rant!
So I'm in the US Military. We're pretty well known for our dicipline. But my boss is trying my patience!
She drove to the Airport on Tuesday to pick up her nephew from the Airport. She showed up to work yesterday with him, and when she was off doing work stuff she left him in the office with me to babysit. Granted, I like kids (obviously) but he's like 8 years old and was bored after being here for 2 hours, and constantly wanted me to take him places and do stuff with him. Around 11:30 I needed to go eat lunch, and when I came back at 12:20 she was long gone- didn't leave a note.
This morning, I haven't heard from her or seen her! I'm assuming she's just implying that "my nephew is here so i'm taking the day off" but i'm 89% certain she didn't take any leave, and she's just taking the day off because she knew it was the holidays and work would be slow.
This just really burns my hide... She doesn't have anyone above her to dicipline her, and if I complain to her she'll just brush it off. I would have LOVED to take the day off, considering i'm still sick and I have to talk to a bunch of people all day and it physically hurts my throat. Grr.
