diaper rash = milk allergy?

Jay has had a rash on his but that is terrible, redness, sores, red dots etc.

I thought it was because he was going number two in the morning before he woke up and would sit in it for an hour if I didn't smell it or hadn't woke up yet. He would sleep through it.

Then I thought maybe it w as because he was teething. But I havn't felt any new teeth and he hasn't had any signs of a fever like normal. But he has been very fussy.

Now, I am wondering if it has to do with the dairy I have been giving him. Is that possible? I have noticed if he has to much he will get red dots on his face. But that is the only signs of an allergic reaction I had seen. I planned on talking to pedi about it when we go in 2 weeks.

So my question(s), could it be from the milk? Should I cut out dairy for a few days? (If so how many?) Any opinions are welcomed! Thanks ladies!

  • Im no expert..but I would probably cut out the dairy for 3 or 4 days and see what happens. Could just be a bad diaper rash, or an actual reaction to something.

This. If that doesn't make a difference then take him to the pedi. I think sores and welts are something to be looked at. Aiden had a horrible rash last winter that we had to get prescription creams for. Nothing else was clearing it up but the 2 the pedi gave us to alternate had it gone in 2 days.
