6wks pp, are baths ok?

I haven't gone for my pp check yet, but just wondering. I would love to soak in a bath!

  • They made me wait 8 weeks.  I remember being upset by this news.  Something about possible infection and getting up from sitting position in the tub being difficult...

  • I was able to take a bath after my 6 week pp check, and it was heavenly.Big Smile My Dr just told me to have my DH help me out of the bath since it was still a little difficult getting up by myself. But every Dr is different, and I guess it also depends on how well your incision is healing.

Oh and love your DD's name! Big Smile

  • I took one at 2 weeks. My tub is easy to get in and out of. And my incision was totally closed.

  • I had my c-section 3 months ago and my the time I was 3 weeks only I was cleaning my house hahahahahahaha. But of course I feeling well and I was being careful. I think it depends on the person oh but since you're gonna be soaking in water yeah I think you should ask your doc. Just to prevent an infection ;)

  • I took one at like 3 weeks, but I kept the water below my incision.

  • If your incision is healed up closed and you're done with pp bleeding, then yes you can have baths.
