time to AW the kids!

DH took M to the science museum the other day. there was a teacher there with her class and M and DH were sitting on a bench near them. M was busy saying every letter he saw and counting his numbers (ad nasuem as he does) and the teacher heard this, walked over to DH and asked how old M was. when she found out he was only 2.5 she was astounded that he knew the whole alphabet, can read letters and count past 10 (though sometimes he forgets 6 & 7), and that he can spell some words (thank you Word World). she told DH that some of her 5 yo students can't do that. i had a super proud moment when DH told me this, to think a year ago he had zero words!

    G is able to repeat numbers up to 10. He has a great vocabulary and his pronunciation is pretty spot on. He struggles with the letter S but otherwise pretty clear.

    He has a great memory. We have a book (Secret Seahorses) and there is a seahorse on each page. he knows right where they are without looking for them anymore. I think that is just pretty amazing. 

    Oh and he can now stab food with his fork. He is completely off a sippy cup and uses his utensils exclusively including cereal with milk.
