Long holiday weekend plans?

What fun things do you have planned for this long weekend?

Tonight: Grocery shopping after work.  I think DH will do some more wrapping after the girls go to bed.  I need to work on purging some of the toys into hiding to make room for everyone in the basement this weekend.

Friday: My Mom and niece are coming up to help me make cookies.  General cleaning and laundry, taking the girls on a ride to look at Christmas lights after dinner.

Saturday: More cleaning and getting dinner in the crockpot.  My parents, Grandma, sister and niece are coming for dinner and gifts.  After the girls go to bed it's time to play Santa!

Suday: The ILs are coming for breakfast and gifts.  Then we'll go to DHs Grandparents for lunch/dinner and gifts.  We will try to get to my parents house for dessert, depending on how the girls are doing.

Monday: We might try to go out and do some shopping for discounted decorations.  Our BFFs are coming for lunch and so we can exchange gifts with the kids.  DH will take Stella to the hockey game at night and I'll try to get some cleaning/organizing done.

I don't know how much anyone will be around after today but I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend!  Enjoy this time with the kiddos!

  • My weekend doesn't start until tomorrow afternoon, but I have all of next week off, so WOOHOO!!!!!

Tonight: Finishing up Christmas shopping, wrapping presents, maybe bake up some cookies or frost the cut-outs I have sitting around naked.

Tomorrow: Work. Tongue Tied Grocery shopping after, before picking Ian up from daycare. Cleaning like a crazy woman, maybe bake the cakes for the dessert I'm making for Christmas Day.

Saturday: Make chili for dinner, probably frost the cake. Church at 4:30 with my parents and oldest brother and his family. Coming back to my house for dinner.

Sunday: Will probably be up at the butt-crack of dawn to open presents. Make pancakes with the Cars molds I found at Williams Sonoma this summer, and relax for the morning. Heading to my other brother's house for family dinner.

After that - no clue. Will probably be spending a bit of time at my parents' so that Ian can play with his cousins. Hoping to have a playdate with one of his friends that he hasn't seen in a while since they're no longer in the same daycare.

    Everyone enjoy themselves this weekend!!!

  • Tonight: Grocery shopping AGAIN, getting my butt on the elliptical. Making my sugar cookie dough. Going to see the "pretty lights".

Tomorrow: cookies and more cookies, going out  To dinner with friends.

Saturday:  ILs in the am and my dads family in the PM.

Sunday: Pull apart cinnamon buns and presents in the am as a family of 3 at our house and then to my moms for dinner presents.

  • Today and tomorrow: Laying low, maybe a few errands, Evan ran a temp all week until this morning.  He was not showing signs of sickness, but really cranky.  Hoping to kick it totally before the long holiday weekend.

Saturday:  Relax all day, children's church service, dinner with my side of the family at our house, snuggle with DH at night

Sunday:  Cin rolls and coffee and gifts and stockings!  Heading to ILs in the afternoon for early dinner and then home as DH has to work :(

Monday:  Relax, clean-up, DH works at night :(

    Merry Christmas to all!

  • Today: Working all day. Hoping tonight to work on some more wrapping.

Tomorrow: Working all day again. I told DH I am leaving Belle with him and I have to run out for a few last things. And then finishing wrapping and we are going to start putting together the table and chair set.

Saturday: We will finish putting together the easel and table and chair set. I have to make a casserole for dinner and put together the breakfast casserole for the morning. We have Mass at 4 then going to my mom's for dinner. Can't wait to play Santa at night!

Sunday: Gifts and breakfast. Then MIL will be over between 10 and 11. Probably closer to 10 to drive me nuts even though DH told her 11 about 5 times before we left her house on Tuesday. Then to my mom's for Christmas and dinner. It will probably just be us and my mom all day.

Monday: We will go see my grandfather with my mom in the afternoon. Spending the day playing with all of Belle's new toys and putting stuff together.

  • Friday:  DH has to work a 1/2 day (to make up flood days) so SIL is coming over at some point to help get things ready for the first of the Christmas celebrations.  We're having FIL, step-MIL, DH's grandma, SIL, and the 3 of us.  There's some background drama but I think it will all be swept under the rug for tomorrow.  I'm not in charge of much for food, it's more cleaning up the constant mess that Jules makes and staying on top of the house.

Sat: Doing Christmas at my MIL's during the day with an early dinner.  This will be nice and low key, with MIL, FIL, both SIL's and one of their bf's.  My poor SIL is in a training program at a local university and she has to be back on Christmas night for b-ball practice-how crappy is that!  Normally we would do Christmas with them on the actual day but I think this will end up being easier. We were talking about going to church but I feel like that's just asking for punishment with Jules.

Sun: Waking up and doing Christmas here, planning to be at my parents around 10:30.  Doing Christmas with my parents, sister, BIL, and 2 nieces.  The girls are 2.5, 1.5, and almost 1 so it should be really fun this year.  Then hanging out at my parents for the day, until the extended family dinner around 3.  We're never there for that so it should be nice, although bittersweet without my grandma there.

DH will be home next week, but has practice from the 26-28 and we both have a bunch of appointments to fit in.  My plan for those days is to prime and paint J's new room and get her in there!

    Happy Holidays everyone!
