Progesterone after IUI

I had IUI#1 this AM and after the nurse offered me progesterone.  Basically made it my decision.  I guess I was under the assumption that progesterone was typically used in cases where a woman has experienced previous loss.  Is that not correct?  She basically said that if you are going to go through IUI why not do everything to keep everything perfect. So, what would you do?
Sept 2009: off BCP, started charting
Nov - March 2010: no period
April - November 2010: Prometrium then clomid - BFN
April 2011 - Finally moved and settled in new city
June 30, 2011 - Ruptured Ovarian Cyst
August 2011 - Met with RE - Bloodwork, etc = Dx PCOS, 1700mg of Metformin
September 2011 - HSG/SIS - shows tissue in ute = Hysteroscopy
September 2011 - Clomid + trigger + IUI #1 - cycle cancelled at baseline US - cyst on left ovary = 8 weeks of BCP
December 2011 - IUI#1 Re-do- Clomid + 12/19 Trigger + 12/21 = BFN
January 2012 - IUI#2- Clomid + Estrace CD13 + trigger + 1/22 = BFN February 2012 - IUI#3 - Clomid + Estrace - Failed to respond to Clomid found on CD 13 monitoring.
Feb - Being of RE break-up!
March - Being of crunchy phase aka Accupuncture
June - Random Positive HPT!!
Due February 17!

    I would take it. But I have a history of low P4 draws so me. But what harm could it do?

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)
    IVF w/ICSI Oct. 2, 2012 - 13R, 11M, 7F, 1 frozen blast 4BB grade - - - FET Nov 15, 2013
    BFP! Beta 1:104 @ 10dp6dt, Beta 2:178 @ 12dp6dt,  beta 3:366 @ 14dp6dt
    Saw heartbeat twice before missed M/C at 8w3d on 12/27/13, missing my little angel boy
    JUNE 2014 IVF#2;  5R, 2M, 1F Three day transfer 6/7.  Beta 6/18 - BFN

    My RE includes progesterone as part of her standard protocol.

    I would do it. My LP was only 9 days after my first IUI (medicated cycles can shorten it) so my RE put me on Crinone for the other 5 IUIs I did and it lengthened my LP back to 13-14 days.

    Me: 32 - Stage II Endo / DH: 36 - Low count and morphology (1%)
    IUIs 1-3 BFN, lap Dec. 2010, IUIs 4-6 BFN
    IVF w/ICSI #1 - ER 2/8: 24R 19M 9F ET 2/13 2-5 day blasts (no frosties) = BFP - b/g twins!

    I wish I was offered it right after my first IUI.  They tested my levels 7 days after the IUI and saw that I needed it, so I was put on it then.  I cant help but think if I had been put on it right away I would have had a different result.  I know probably not, but it still sits in the back of my mind.

    DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
    5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
    3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
    IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
    IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!

    My RE offered it, or said I could do a 7 DPO draw and if it's low, then I could start it then.  I went with the 2nd option (because I hate the mess of the suppositories, but It was low at 7 dpo, so I started at that point.  The next IUI, she said I should start it right after ovulation, since my levels were previously low.
    TTC since 2/2009
    11/2010 - Surprise BFP - m/c @ 16 weeks - dx Lupus Anticoagulant
    1/2012 - Clomid & IUI #4= BFP twins! On Lovenox - m/c @ 16 weeks

    9/2012 - Clomid & IUI #5= BFP! EDD 6/6/13

    I may have to wait....I'll never give up.

    For my first medicated cycle I did not start progesterone until my 7dpo levels came back very low and then my second cycle I started it immediately after my IUI.  It can't hurt to start it, but if you have normal progesterone levels it could be an unnecessary expense.
    DX: Anovulation
    TX: IUI #1-4 = BFN + 1 c/p
    IUI #5: Clomid 100mg + Bravelle + Trigger + B2B IUIs + 800mg Progesterone = BFP!
    Beta #1 (14dpiui): 460 Beta #2 (16dpiui): 998 Beta #3 (23dpiui): 21,832 Beta #4 (29dpiui): 129,771

    I'd do it.  I had an IUI  on 12/17 and they wanted me in 7 days later--- I suggested earlier because of my low Progesterone levels. I went in for blood work yesterday and both my progesterone and estrogen were "high enough to conceive but we don't want them to drop at all" so, now I'm on Prometrium and estrace orally.
